I love the Doors. Unfortunately I don’t like listening to their music just any time. I like listening to them at home at night or in the car if that makes sense. I don’t like listening to them on my mp3 player when I’m out and about.

No one can match up to their revolutionary style, their originality, or the music. They are truly THE GREATEST AMERICAN BAND. And one of the most influential bands. EVER. Also one of the most controversial bands. Those are just some of the reasons why The Doors are my fav !

Growing up in my father’s household, I listened to a lot of Frank Sinatra, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and the Doors. There’s no doubt my father’s musical taste has stayed with me as I’m now a man.

Thanks for sharing, I am a huge doors fan. Mazerek(sp) really makes the band for me, his work on the keys is amazing.

I love The Doors. I don’t, however, love Jim Morrison’s poetry. It’s weird how musicians solo stuff is never as good as with a band. Like Lennon, McCartney, and Thom Yorke. Thanks for the post though.

The real interesting thing about the doors is that, as far as I can remember, they didn’t have a bassist. The keyboardist used bass pedals. I think with this song he was probably doing most of the work.
such a simple arrangement for a song, yet a classic rock song through and through.
I think I knew the words to this song before I knew it was The Doors.
